Singing Bowls

Singings bowls are a percussion instrument used in many spiritual and holistic health traditions for relaxation, meditation and healing.  Singing bowls originated from the Himalayans regions of Tibet, Nepal and India. Traditional singing bowls are made of a combination of seven metals corresponding to seven of the planets ; Gold (Sun), Silver (Moon), Copper (Venus) Iron (Mars), Tin (Jupiter), Quicksilver (Mercury) and Brass (Saturn). Later, the different keys produced when playing a singing bowl were each connected to one or multiple of the Seven main energy centers or Chakras.
